Cosmetic Injectables

appointment Duration: 90 Minutes

PDO Mono Thread treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that stimulates collagen production, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful, natural looking rejuvenation.

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are a small medical-grade absorbable thread that is inserted into the sub dermal level of the skin.

This medical grade treatment aids in collagen production which creates skin tightening and rejuvenation.

This treatment is designed to improve skin quality, skin texture and reducing fine lines, scarring, reduce pore size and restore natural volume. The results from this treatment occur over several weeks to months, in a very natural and subtle way.

1-2 treatments are recommended in the first 12months and then once a year following to assist in optimal skin maintenance.

Areas that can be treated

PDO Threads Pricing at Aesthete Sunshine Coast

During your consultation with our experienced clinicians, they will determine your required dosage and create a treatment plan based on your desired outcomes. At Aesthete Sunshine Coast our PDO Thread treatments are a minimum spend of $300 as an individual treatment (30 threads).
$10 per PDO Thread
$1500 for a full face of PDO Threads
$2000 for a full face, jaw & neck of PDO Threads

Our PDO threads treatment can take up to 90 minutes to complete and is conducted under local anaesthetic. At Aesthete Sunshine Coast, our expert clinicians ensure all patients have a comfortable treatment experience, and most find the procedure quick and easy. Thin needles or cannulas are inserted into the chosen treatment areas, where the microscopic threads are then fed through into the deeper layers of the skin. Once the thread is anchored, the needle or cannula is withdrawn, and the excess thread is cut. You may feel slight pressure or tightening under the skin in the treated areas, but the threads cannot be seen. The procedure does not require any incisions or stitches.

Immediately after your thread treatment, you may have some mild redness, swelling, or bruising, and the treated areas may feel tender and sore. You will have restricted motion in the treated areas for the first 24 hours after the treatment. These are normal bodily reactions to the facial threads and will diminish over the subsequent days post-treatment. Results will be immediately noticeable but will gradually reach their full effect 3-4 months after your PDO thread treatment.

A PDO thread treatment has a multitude of advantages, including:

  • It’s a non-surgical and minimally invasive procedure.
  • Smooths and tightens the skin to eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Increases elasticity in the skin to target sagging, drooping skin in various areas.
  • Restores volume to areas of the face that cause a gaunt, hollow appearance.
  • Redefines the natural contours of the face as sagging areas are lifted.
  • Stimulates collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production for a youthful, rejuvenated appearance.
  • Results may be seen immediately and will gradually increase over time.
