CLINICAL SKIN & BODY TREATMENTS

HYDRAFACIAL

appointment Duration: 60 Minutes

HydraFacial is a patented technology that cleanses, extracts, and hydrates all while infusing nourishing serums that give your skin an instantly noticeable glow.

What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a multi-step treatment that uses innovative, patented vortex technology to deliver the results of an advanced facial in under 30 minutes. Known for its three-step process, the HydraFacial aims to deep-cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the skin, resulting in healthy, radiant skin that glows from within. HydraFacial is not like every other facial. It focuses on creating healthy, youthful skin that makes you not only look good but feel good too. The treatment has been shown to improve skin tone, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, smooth out skin texture, eliminate brown spots, reduce redness and inflammation, shrink enlarged pores, and combat oily, congested skin.

The treatment involves cleansing and exfoliation, resurfacing the skin’s texture as it extracts impurities and other skin debris from congested, oily pores. HydraFacial’s unique serum delivery system then provides intense hydration, saturating the skin’s surface with brightening antioxidants, peptides, and other botanical ingredients. The serum contains nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, horse chestnut seed extract, red algae extract, copper, zinc, and magnesium peptides. The HydraFacial also delivers powerful antioxidants designed to counteract skin damage caused by pollution, sun exposure, and stress, which can negatively affect our skin’s appearance. HydraFacial patients experience instant, long-lasting total skin rejuvenation with this combination of innovative techniques. This treatment is suitable and beneficial for both men and women.

Procedure

Your treatment will take approximately 60 minutes, depending on the areas you wish to treat. Hydrafacial is both a suitable procedure to undergo to achieve an instant resurfacing and glow as preparation for a special occasion, or undertaking a series of them on a regular basis will see long term improvements in the appearance and health of your skin

The HydraFacial treatment is a dynamic multi-step treatment that involves three phases. During the first phase, your clinician will use a vortex-like wand against your skin with water to cleanse and exfoliate the outer layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and excess oil.

At this stage, your clinician will then apply a chemical solution to cleanse the skin’s surface further, loosening dead skin cells and debris that may be clogging the pores. In the next step, a vacuum-like attachment is used to suction away any remaining impurities, leaving the pores debris-free and open to absorb our customised hydrating serum. These two steps result in a clearer complexion, free of impurities, dirt, and excess oil, dramatically smoothing and enhancing your skin.

The last step is crucial in creating healthier looking skin on the inside and out. Your clinician will use a pen-like attachment to administer potent moisturising serums containing peptides and antioxidants to deliver intense hydration. This three-step technique results in clearer pores that appear smaller and smoother, less fine lines and a reduction in the appearance of deep wrinkles, providing a fresh, youthful appearance that glows from within.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need?

A HydraFacial can be experienced as a single treatment due to its instantaneous results. However, its full benefits will not be experienced unless patients undergo a series of HydraFacial treatments as part of their skin plan, which may include fortnightly or monthly sessions. At Aesthete Sunshine Coast we offer multiple sessions of 3 and 6 treatments to be prepaid at a reduced price. Hydrafacial is a wonderful skin maintenance treatment suitable and equally effective for male and females.

How long will the results last?

The fantastic benefits of a HydraFacial will become increasingly noticeable after several treatments. Most patients only require a HydraFacial treatment once or twice per month to prolong its effects and maintain an improved appearance in their complexion.

Why choose Aesthete Sunshine Coast for your treatment?
Aesthete Sunshine Coast, we literally perform 100’s of these treatments every month. We are privileged to have highly skilled and trained clinicians who are passionate and committed to helping patients achieve their desired outcomes.
Does a HydraFacial hurt?

No, the treatment is comfortable and completely non-invasive, meaning patients do not experience any discomfort during their session. It’s a relaxing and enjoyable treatment, that our clients enjoy

When can I resume normal activities?

Patients may return to their daily activities immediately after their treatment. However, we recommend that individuals refrain from applying makeup afterwards or using face masks for 12 – 24 hours post-treatment, including active skincare products.

Risks and complications
Risks and complications are present in any cosmetic treatment patients choose to have, and patients need to understand these factors before going ahead with a treatment. The HydraFacial has very minimal risks or side effects associated with the treatment compared to other skin enhancement treatments. There may be some redness in the treatment area after your session, but this should subside after a few hours. A rarer side effect of the treatment is the risk of an allergic reaction, as shellfish is a key ingredient in any HydraFacial serums. Those with a known shellfish allergy should disclose this during their consultation, as this may prevent them from receiving a HydraFacial.

There are some contraindications for this treatment that, if met, may make some individuals ineligible for a HydraFacial, or they may have to wait before undergoing the treatment. Ineligible individuals may identify with the following:

  • Pregnant and breastfeeding
  • Open wounds, dermatitis, or severe rosacea
  • Recent sunburn
  • Active cold sores
  • Currently undergoing radiation treatment
  • Allergies to shellfish or aspirin
  • Recently had injectable, waxing, or laser treatments (will need to wait for one to two weeks before having a HydraFacial)
