Cosmetic Injectables

appointment Duration: 60 Minutes

Collagen stimulating injections gradually restore youthful volume by revitalising your natural collagen production that is lost over time.

What are Collagen Stimulating Injections?

Collagen stimulating injections are cosmetic treatments consisting of poly-l-lactic (a bio compatible and biodegradable polymer) that when injected under the skin restores volume and tissue structure to facial areas, encouraging natural collagen production over time to create smoother, plumper, more youthful, tightened skin that rejuvenates your appearance. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein in our bodies that makes up eighty percent of the skin, as it works to support the structure and integrity of the dermis. Over time, our bodies produce less collagen, causing our skin to sag, become dull and tired, lose its youthful plumpness, and develop wrinkles, which are all common occurrences with ageing. Individuals who have experienced these signs of ageing, or who may have facial scarring caused by issues such as acne, may all significantly benefit from collagen stimulating injections.

Collagen stimulators are commonly injected in the nasolabial folds, jawline, cheeks, and areas requiring large volume replacement. The treatment can produce the following results:

  • Restore volume to sunken facial areas
  • Revitalise and plump facial fat pads
  • Tighten and lift the skin
  • Improve overall skin quality and texture
  • Eliminate fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduce the appearance of facial scarring caused by issues such as acne
  • Rejuvenated, youthful appearance

Cost of Collagen Stimulating Injections

Collagen stimulating treatments (Poly-L-Lactic Acid) can vary in cost, depending on the number of treatments and the number of vials you require in order to reach your desired outcomes. Maintenance treatments may be required after your initial treatment to prolong lasting results. Prices for collagen booster treatments start from $800.
1 vial……. $800
2 vials….. $1500
4 vials….. $2800

Your appointment is 1 hour which includes your consultation and your treatment. The procedure will take between 10 to 30 minutes. It contains a small amount of local anaesthetic, ensuring there is very minimal discomfort. The drug is injected via a thin needle or cannula into the chosen areas where volume loss has occurred. Depending on the extent of the concerns, multiple areas and treatments may be required.

After treatment, you will appear noticeably voluminous in the treated areas, but will even out to a more natural appearance over time. The final results of collagen stimulating injections will be gradually seen three to four months after your treatment, and collagen production and stimulation may occur for up to six months post-treatment.

  • Avoid non prescribed blood-thinning medications for  7 days prior to treatment
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and activity for at least 24 hours afterwards
  • Keep away from saunas, solariums, hot spas, and excessive sun exposure for 24 hours
  • Do not use skincare with active ingredients such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and vitamin A or C for 24 hours
